Hybrid modeling of wire frame, surface and solid
CADCEUS is a hybrid modeler which enables coexistence of wire frame, surface and solid models. It offers a flexible modeling environment where there is no need for the user to care about if his odel is solid or surface. Typical function is a set operation between solid and surface models.

Powerful functions of fillet, draft surface and composite surface offset
CADCEUS supports global model change functions such as variety of filletting functions, draft surface creation and variable offset of a composite surface, which are critically important in manufacturing preparation.

Parametric modeling
By parametric modeling, the user can promptly deal with design change and examination of alternative ideas. Any type of shape model can be automatically reconstructed reflecting parameter changes. Cancellation and change of previous modeling operations can be performed with no restriction.

Automatic drawing
Even if the solid modeling is introduced, drawing is still necessary. CADCEUS has an automatic drawing function to create drawings from 3D shape model.

Collaborative design function
CADCEUS supports simultaneously working two or more engineers collaborative design job by the effective use of parametric and related database function.

CAM
Variety of machining methods
CADCEUS supports variety of machining methods such as scan, contour, boundary, residual, curve projection, along surface, guide and plunging machining.

Guarantee of collision free cutter path
CADCEUS guarantees collision free cutter paths by automatically detecting collision between work piece and tool system.

Automatic connection of cutter paths
NC data, generated by automatically connecting cutter paths, can be output by freely setting pertaining rule. Guarantee of collision free movement is also applied to this cutter paths connection.

Rich functions for cutter path editing
Cutter paths which have been calculated can be freely edited according to various purposes.

Automatic machining integrated with die design packages
Cutter paths can be automatically obtained according to machining attributes given by MoldDesign or PressDesign package by the effective use of machining knowledge database.

Data Exchange
CADCEUS supports not only standard based data exchange such as IGES and STEP but direct data exchange with various CAD systems such as CATIA, UG, Pro/E and I-DEAS.
