CADCEUS/PressDesign together with DieCAM totally supports stamping die structure design and manufacturing by the combination of solid/parametric capabilities and domain specific capabilities.
CADCEUS/PressDesign, on top of CADCEUS standard functions, is a system focused on stamping die structure design. There are two types of die structure design. One is automative OEM oriented where reuse of data is a key issue, the other is die maker oriented where effective design from scratch is a key issue. CADCEUS/PressDesign is applicable for both of these types. It provides various end user oriented functions such as a highly operational menu which integrates standard solid/parametric functions and advanced special functions, and various customizing functions to improve ease of use.

Major special functions of CADCEUS/PressDesign
Shape creationDetail
PressDesign creates shapes including free form curved surfaces specific to stamping die structures.

Standard part operationDetail
Parametrically represented standard parts is available. Registration of user's own library is also possible. Use of standard parts defined in CPSS (consortium of Japanese OEM, die maker, parts maker) is quite effective for making dies related to Japnese automobile industry.

Machining featuresDetail
Users can add and edit features of hole and planar machining, which are directly passed to DieCAM.

Part attributesDetail
CADCEUS/PressDesign allows attachment of attributes to any level shape element for enabling automation of later BOM output, drawing output, and cutter path calculation.

Drafting supportDetail
PressDesign automatically adds various information to drafting data created by automatic drafting functions.
